My take on this: In the beginning, he is talking about releasing expectations for situations, and then at the end he encourages to have expectations for things to work out (mindset). There is a difference. I hope you get this early on in life. It will make a big difference.  My take away is to release attachment (the type that causes you to change yourself in an unhealthy way to try to force things to work and typically puts you in a situation to be abused emotionally or physically). The three of you are amazing people, and if you can build eachother up, be amazing friends, protect eachother and yourselves. Be honest and real about the people you are and the people around you. I've learned the hard way about seeing what I want to see in others is just a mistake.

October 2016: I met someone who was in town this week working with some injured football players; he stopped me mid-sentence during a conversation and said to me "Breath, Rachel, your breaths are too shallow". Shortly after he coached me through a breathing exercise. Ironic how a chance meeting taught/reminded me of something so basic but vital to life (and fighting disease). Then in a personal development class I'm taking, the topic was breathing -- the same thing, the same type of breathing. Like almost everything, I love to bring home what I learned to my kids, only to find my youngest had already watched YouTube videos on it. I would love to blame my shallow breathing on my recent bout with the flu, congestion and coughing -- but I know my breath has been shallow for at least 6 years now. Why is belly breathing important?
